We take the safety of our products very seriously. ALEX® has always had a stringent testing program in place.
We test each of our products thoroughly to make sure that they are safe for children.Our products successfully pass rigorous testing at third party, accredited laboratories and meet or exceed all applicable regulatory standards around the world.
We sell our products globally and are committed to testing for not only US Standard (CPSIA/ASTM F963) but for Europe (EN Standards including EN 71) , AU/NZ ISO Standards, and Canadian Standards.
We test each of our products for physical/mechanical safety requirements as well as flammability. Our procedures include tests for harmful chemicals including lead, other heavy metals, and phthalates.
Our dough contains gluten that comes from wheat. It is a required element that determines the elasticity.
All ALEX products are designed and intended for use by children. We subject all of our products to rigorous safety testing and evaluation using ASTM standards. Your assurance that they are safe for use, by the age group specified on the package, is the printed statement that reads either “Conforms to D4236”, or “Conforms to ASTM F963”. This means that a comprehensive Toxic Risk Assessment (TRA) of the product ingredients has been performed by a certified toxicologist and confirmed to be non-toxic to the user. Our products carried in Europe are tested to the European Union Toy Safety Standard EN71 and carry the CE mark.
We do NOT use BPA in our manufacturing processes. Our Art Materials including all crayons are tested to conform to LHAMA D4236 which identifies a product as being NON-TOXIC.
